The total gallery value of our Raffle art is more than $13,000. One of them can be yours by purchasing Raffle tickets for our event. The Raffle drawing will be held on July 18, 2009 during the Art Auction. We hope you will be on hand to personally accept your winning piece. In addition to our Raffle, you will be able to bid on original art during our Auction. Visit Odd Fellows Hall on Saturday July 18th and during the previous week and view all the pieces on display on which you can bid. ‘Moonlit Sea’, George Rohrer, Oil George Rohrer lives on the Mendocino Coast where he devotes his time to painting the many moods of the Pacific Ocean. He trained in the Impressionistic tradition at the Art Institute of Chicago. His Paintings flow freely and speak to that deep down longing for the sea and serenity of distant views. His works can be found in private collections and in a number of museums. Look for his art at the Panache Gallery in Mendocino.

‘Along the Fence’, David Jenks, Oil
David Jenks graduated from Williams College and attended the Yale Summer School of Music and Art and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. In California since 1977, he describes his style as "weaving a course between realism and impressionism, always painting form but always prospecting for light." He shows at Hightlight Gallery and is selling giclees of his best works at his own studio, both in Mendocino. |

‘Garden Glorious’, Erin Dertner, Pastel
Erin Dertner's career started under her mother's tutelage and has continued for more than 25 years. Her inspirations have been sunlight, the sea, ambling pathways and rustic dwellings. She has captured the on the coastside and on her wanderings throughout Europe. She says "there is no greater life than to study the world with a paintbrush in hand and a heart full of love and gratitude." Her art can be seen at her gallery and studio in Fort Bragg.

Gerald Stinski is considered to be one of the finest "trompe l'oeil" painters of our time. His miniature oils are comparable in subject and purity to the early Dutch Masters. His shows are eagerly awaited and his paintings pass quickly into the hands of collectors. ‘Screech Owl’, H. Wheatley Allen, Bronze Sculpture
H. Wheatley Allen has acheived international acclaim with his bronze sculptures of birds. His work, chosen for its strength, grace, and symbolic content has found its way into collections around the world. Recent Presidents have presented his sculptures as gifts to heads of state. A California native, his love for birds is the result of early exposure to their natural habitats in Marin County. His book Sculptor to Emperors, Presidents, and Kings depicts Allen's works of art.

‘Ocean Reef’, Adam Kaser, Glass Vase
Adam Kaser is inspired by the natural world that surrounds us. The ocean captivates him. He attempts to find a balance between the natural and the functional. Glass enables him to embellish on the aesthetics found in nature. His expertise is the result of his studies at the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio and the Pitchuck Glass School, under Italian artist Dino Rosin. John and Debbie Turnbull are folk artists who live in Mendocino. After collecting “Ark things” for many years, John and Debbie sensed a lack of high quality, handcrafted Noah’s Arks. They developed their vision of these wonderful “Victorian Sunday toys”. The response from collectors worldwide is overwhelming. The Arks are shown in Galleries all over the country and at Highlight Gallery on Main Street in Mendocino.
