Mendocino morning by Angela Speck
‘Mendocino Morning’, Angela Speck, Oil
Born of distinctly artistic heritage, Angela Speck moved to Mendocino in 1989, where she was immediately inspired to paint the picturesque village Victorians, local vineyards, and beauty and moods of the sea. Her interest in art took root in the early 1950s when, as a child, she would sit for hours watching her father design and create custom jewelry for Cartiers of London. Later she worked for the Walt Disney Studios Art Department. But it was not until she came to Mendocino that she pursued art seriously. Her paintings have been featured on the cover of the Mendocino Traveler’s Guide, and she has painted Winesong! bottles its annual charity auction each year since 1996. Currently her works are on display at Panache Gallery in Mendocino.

Ark by John and Debbie Turnbull
‘Ark’, John and Debbie Turnbull, Handcarved Wood
John and Debbie Turnbull are folk artists who live in Mendocino. After collecting “Ark things” for many years, John and Debbie sensed a lack of high quality, handcrafted Noah’s Arks. They developed their vision of these wonderful “Victorian Sunday toys”. The response from collectors worldwide is overwhelming. The Arks are shown in Galleries all over the country and at Highlight Gallery on Main Street in Mendocino.
