Our Annual Auction is the major fundraising event of the Mendocino Rotary Club, enabling our club to help youth and our community.. Your purchase of raffle tickets along with your attendance at our auction and bidding on this extraordinary collection of fine art and other items will help us help others. New this year to the Auction is the addition of ten non-art items featuring world-renowned cuisine, unique special visits to wineries, and other fascinating activities.
Gerald Stinski is the 2011 Featured Artist, and has donated ONIONS ON LINEN for our raffle!
Why Come to the Auction and Support Rotary?
Mendocino Rotary has proven for 40 years that “Art Can Make a Difference” in supporting youth and community. A major role of Rotary is to give back to the community, and the proceeds from the auction and the sale of raffle tickets are returned to the communities of the North Coast as a variety of grants and scholarships. Deserving students receive help with their college tuition, and Rotary sponsors both incoming and outgoing exchange students. Grants are also awarded to a variety of local organizations working in the areas of youth, health, safety and cultural enrichment. In addition to local contributions, the Mendocino Rotary Club supports international programs and is part of Rotary International.
The Mendocino Rotary Club, sponsor of the Mendocino Art Auction, is also a sponsor of the Mendocino Summer Arts Showcase. The Arts Showcase is a cooperative venture of Rotary, the Mendocino Music Festival, the Mendocino Art Center, the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, the Gloriana Musical Theatre, and WineSong!.
